An Easter of Celebration and Service at Good Shepherd
Easter Sunday was a glorious time of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus alongside many regulars and visitors. The special services for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday were highlighted by so many who shared their gifts of music and insight to make things meaningful.
Lent and Easter also saw the generosity of Good Shepherd put on display. 125 Easter Blessing bags were collected to help the clients of the Palos Food Pantry celebrate an Easter meal. Our Lenten dinners raised $1,670 to help a local family who had lost their home to a recent fire. These acts of giving replicate God's gracious giving of himself for us and help the joy of Jesus' resurrection become all the more real.
Thank you to everyone who made Lent and Easter a meaningful and joyous occasion.
