Good Shepherd Gives Christmas Presents to 163 Foster Children

This last Christmas, Good Shepherd shared God's love to children in foster care through Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. Children in their care wrote out wish lists that were available to the congregation. People then went out and bought bikes, gaming systems, tablets, games, clothes and all other types of gifts. These were packaged and then picked up by social workers who then take them to the children in their care. In all, 163 children received gifts this year.

Good Shepherd has a history of this ministry dating back many years. We are thankful for the generosity of all who took part and we look forward to continuing to share the joy not only of Christmas but of God with others. During November, Good Shepherd spent time living the good news in service to others.
