Funerals † Edwin V. Jarmoszka – July 1, 2009 † Bradley H. Opel Sr. – July 1, 2009 † Lyric Cooper Boomsma – July 8, 2009 † Kenneth N. Biedess – July 25, 2009 – After filling one year of marriage with a life time of love, Ken died at the end of an extensive hospital stay. Our love and prayers to Sue and Ken’s many friends. † Mildred Gross – July 2, 2009 – Millie a faithful worshipper and church office helper died after a brief struggle with cancer. She was a friend to many at Good Shepherd. Our prayers are with her son Brian and his wife, Marion. † Terry J. Weissenhofer – July 7, 2009 – A total family man, Terry died at the Hospice Center in Joliet with his family at his side. His Witness of Faith has been a source of comfort and inspiration for his family and friends. Special love goes to his wife Karen, his children Kurt, Jill and Lisa and their families. † Patrick E. Higgins – July 24, 2009 – After a very active life and a lengthy series of treatments and hospitalizations, Patrick received the crown of everlasting life. A friend to many, especially in the construction business, Pat was deeply loved by his wife, Carolyn and their sons whom we remember in our prayers. † Betty Nyquist – July 24, 2009 – With a lively spirit, a sense of humor and a prayer of hope. Betty was faithful to her last day never allowing her illness to dampen her joy in life. Our love is with Nicki Oates and Betty’s entire family. † Don “Archie” Archambault – August 11, 2009 – After a very unusual accident at home, Archie died after three weeks at Rush Hospital. A wonderful gift of life, man of hope and witness for Christ, Don is deeply missed by many. Our love and prayers are with his wonderful family, Jean, Cheryl and Lisa. † William R. Halik – August 15, 2009 – The love of his wife, Lynnette’s life and a hero to his children, Cindy and Bill, Bill died peacefully at Brighton Gardens. Bill is remembered as a dedicated family man and servant of Christ. God Bless Lynnette, Cindy and Dan and their families. |
